We hope that everyone enjoyed the opening night at Fremantle Prison. The RA Headlights organised just the right temperature for downing a few cold ones and dancing the night away to the tunes from Daren Reid and The Soul City Groove (tonight we have another great band) However, word obviously got out about the great party at the prison and at about 10.30 pm we got a visit from the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor who basically police the responsible service of alcohol in WA. We have obtained an Occasional Liquor Licence for Fremantle Prison over the weekend which allows us to responsibly serve alcoholic beverages within the venue. It specifically does not allow patrons to remove liquor from the venue (Opened or sealed). Unfortunately for us they witnessed several hashers wandering around the streets close to the prison with open cans and reasonably concluded that these came from the venue. Both the Licensee and Approved Manager can be fined up to $10,000 for serious breaches of the conditions of the Liquor Licence. Can I please request that you do not attempt to leave the venue with alcohol tonight. We have plenty, but please just consume it within the licenced premises!!

LATE NIGHT NUDIE RUN
As promised in Darwin we have obtained Occasional Liquor Licences for all three of the venues we are using over the weekend, including the Red Dress Run. This allows us to have better control over the management of the venues and most importantly significantly reduces the cost of beverages consumed. However, every Occasional Liquor Licence issued in WA has an Entertainment Condition that runs to nearly half a page. In summary this states that nudity and lewd or indecent behaviour is not permitted. If a late-night nudie run is planned it must therefore take place outside the prison walls. Not only can both the Licensee and Approved Manager each be fined $10,000 for any breaches of the licence conditions they (Screwdriver and Butt-Less) run frequent events at the prison so would suffer embarrassing reputational damage.

All the T-Shirts have arrived, and they look great. But we have a small problem that primarily affects the Ladies Long Sleeved Sun Smart Shirts being on the tight side. Luckily, we have a contingency supply and are going through a process of upsizing shirt allocations. This should work for most people, but we have decided that we may need a second order and will get replacement shirts to affected people post event. We would appreciate if WA based hashers could cooperate with us and allow larger shirts to be allocated to international and interstate visitors. We won’t be able to accommodate swaps at registration, but we will have a help desk at Wilson Park on Sunday. Please remember that all the folks involved in the registration process are volunteers so please be nice to them!

Come early to Red Dress and Freo Nash 2025 Registration.
Please note that there is likely to be a rush of registrations in the hour or two prior to the start of the Red Dress Run. If you can register early (Wednesday 11 to 6 or Thursday morning) please do so then not only will you avoid the rush but you will also be able to leave your goody bag at your accommodation rather that carrying it with you on the Red Dress Run.
There are likely to be many Hashers hanging around Bar Orient during registration times so it will give you an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and maybe make some new ones.
For those unable to check in before the Friday evening event we can check you in and issue you with wristbands at the Prison but you will have to pick up your goody bag and shirts Saturday at Bar Orient or Sunday at the recovery run.

We have listened to feedback from the local Hash Community and are pleased to announce a Sunday Session Special Rego of $50. This is provided for persons accompanying Hashers and WA Hashers who are unable to attend the full event but would like the opportunity to meet old friends and will get you access to the Sunday recovery run (at 11 am on 30th March) lunch and refreshments throughout the afternoon. Registration Update.
Planning and Organisation of Freo Nash Hash 2025 continues but has not progressed as quickly as we have liked due to vendor commitments coming into the busy Christmas season. Consequently, we have not quite finalised our budget and so have delayed the registration process which should go live next month.

As previously advised, once registrations are open the Early Bird Registration fee will be available to all for a fixed period and won’t be limited to a certain pre-determined number of hashers.

HHHi,
We thought it was about time we shared some information on our progress in organising the next Nash Hash in 2025. But firstly, we would like to thank each and everyone of you for putting your trust in Fremantle Hashers to organise this event. We didn’t go to Darwin with the intent of pitching for the event but after a hastily organised team meeting on the Saturday evening we realised that we had a workable plan, some awesome event experience and more importantly the support of the wider WA Hash community.

During our stage presentation on the Sunday morning at the Darwin Amphitheatre we mentioned that our plan was to hold the event at Fremantle Prison, and by Monday afternoon we had the venue booked for the opening night! We are pleased to confirm that the dates for Freo Nash Hash are Friday 28th to Sunday 30th March 2025.

Shortly after we returned from Darwin, we prepared an outline plan for the event and over the last few months we have been busy negotiating with food caterers, entertainers, infrastructure and logistics operators, transport providers, hoteliers and of course beverage suppliers. We have a preliminary budget in place and plan to finalise registration fees this side of Christmas.

Our intention is to open Registrations on 1st January 2024, and everybody will be able to access the early bird rego price. We will not be capping access to this but will of course put a finite time on its availability so start saving your pennies now so that you are able to register at the opening price in January.

If you are reading this message, you will of course know that our website is up and running so this is the place to check in regularly for facts about the event. Our Facebook page will also go live very soon. We have also been busy with a range of other boring but essential administration tasks such as incorporating the association and setting up banking facilities, both of which take far longer than we had imagined.

We have received a lot of interest in organising various pre and post ambles and will be putting further information on our website soon so please keep checking back.
